01/23/2009 - St. Joseph's donates scales to local 6th grade science class
Officials from St. Joseph’s Hospital were on hand today at Blennerhassett Middle School to make a donation to Mrs. Beth Trimble’s 6th grade science class. Kent Kloes, Director of Pharmacy, presented the school with a set of digital portable scales.

H&R Block presents gift basket to last baby born at St. Joseph’s Hospital

12/15/2008 - St. Joseph’s Hospital and H&R Block to celebrate Last Baby of 2008
Every baby born at St. Joseph’s during December will receive a special baby bib from H&R Block. One special baby, the last child born at the hospital in 2008, will be named the “Last Baby of 2008” and receive a special gift basket from H&R Block.

Sister Sandra Peraldo, CSJ was granted renewal of her Certification by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains.

11/27/2008 - 2008 Turkey Trot draws over 1800 entrants!
The Turkey Trot is our annual 5K Walk/Run held on Thanksgiving morning. Thank you to the River City Runner's Club for all their hard work to coordinate the event and to all the attendees!

The Laboratory at St. Joseph’s Hospital has been awarded accreditation by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), based on the results of a recent on-site inspection.

08/04/2008 - St. Joseph’s Exceeds National Standard for Treating Heart Attack Patients
100% of the patients meeting the CMS and Joint Commission criteria who presented to the Emergency Department since August 2007 with an EKG showing an ST-elevation myocardial infarction (heart attack) received emergency cardiac intervention within the 90 minute standard.
